About CellWell

The Science, Read and Translated. Not Sold.

CellWell is a global index of mechanisms and relationships: 424,958 studies from eleven international sources on biology, neuroscience, physics, and the research on consciousness and meaning. We don't summarize abstracts or aggregate metadata -- we read the studies, label how strong each one is, and write them in plain language. We will not have every study you are looking for yet; when it is not here, we go and find it. The point is the words: what mechanism is supported, what process is documented, what evidence supports the relationship, which citations carry it, and what educational language accurately describes the evidence without extending beyond it. That is evidence-backed mechanism and educational language designed to support compliant communications and reduce unsupported-claim risk.

Independent, on purpose

CellWell recommends no products and never sells anything it validates. That isn't a policy we could change tomorrow -- it's the whole point. An evidence library is only worth trusting if it has nothing to gain from what the evidence says. What CellWell does offer is services built on the library -- evidence briefs, mechanism-first language, co-branded access, a private index, the API. The evidence itself stays separate from all of it.

Honest labels, not a score

We never reduce a study to a single quality number. Instead every finding carries an honest tier, so you can see exactly how settled it is:

  • Lineage -- Ancient, indigenous, and traditional knowledge -- tested by time, honored as its own kind of evidence.
  • Emerging -- Early and promising -- limited, small, or preclinical. Worth watching, not yet settled.
  • Established -- Strong, replicated modern science with converging evidence.
  • Contested -- Honest disagreement -- credible conflicting findings or disputed interpretation.

The whole world's research

Every search runs across many databases at once -- not one American index -- so a finding from a Japanese, Russian, or open-access repository that never reached the usual indexes still surfaces. Good science is written in many languages, and often the more important source is the one the English-only indexes miss.

How the library grows

Anyone with a free account can suggest a study we're missing -- you paste an identifier, and our indexing engine reads it, writes the plain-language takeaway, and runs it through the same checks as everything else. Nothing enters unread or unverified. That's how the library grows without ever losing its footing.
